Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, received the outgoing Swedish Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Joachim Waern, whose diplomatic tour has officially come to an end. The meeting marked a moment of appreciation for the Ambassador’s role in fostering deeper ties between Somalia and Sweden.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud commended Ambassador Waern for his efforts in strengthening the longstanding relationship between the two nations during his tenure. The President acknowledged Sweden’s consistent support for Somalia in areas including development cooperation, peacebuilding, governance, and humanitarian assistance.
