Dhusamareb, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, arrived today in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug State, accompanied by federal ministers and senior military officials.
He was warmly welcomed by Galmudug President Ahmed Abdi Karie, Vice President Ali Dahir Eid, the Speaker and Members of the Galmudug Parliament, as well as community elders and residents.
During his stay, President Hassan Sheikh is scheduled to hold meetings with Galmudug leaders and representatives of civil society, and to inaugurate development projects implemented in the state.
The visit also focuses on intensifying the fight against Al-Shabaab, with the President expected to mobilize community support and encourage security forces engaged in the country’s liberation efforts.
