Somalia, Qatar Discuss Strengthening Cooperation in Justice and Legal Affairs

Doha, (SONNA) — The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Maalim Mahmoud, held talks with Qatar’s Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Office, H.E. Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Muhannadi, in Doha.

The two ministers discussed strengthening cooperation in the areas of law and justice, development of justice institutions, capacity building for personnel, modernization of judicial services and exchange of expertise.

H.E. Hassan Maalim thanked the Government of Qatar for its continued support to Somalia and reaffirmed Somalia’s solidarity with Qatar at a time of sensitive regional circumstances.

The meeting also emphasized the continuation of technical consultations to implement practical cooperation programs and further strengthen the longstanding relations between the two brotherly countries.
