Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud sent his condolences to the people and Government of the United Arab Emirate (UAE) for the officers who were killed in Mogadishu this evening.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ileyhi raajicuun, I send my heartfelt condolences to the government and people of UAE on the passing of the officers who came to Mogadishu to assist the army in their training so that they can liberate the country, President Mohamud said.
I condemn to the worst terms the incident that took the lives of the UAE officers who sacrificed their time and lives to liberate and re-build our country. I am ordering the security forces to conduct investigations regarding the incident and I promise that whoever found guilty will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” he added.
The government of the United Arab Emirates ia a close ally to Somalia and always supported our progress, Somalia will never forget the good deeds of the UAE in our most difficult times.
