Cadale, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has returned to the frontline regions to oversee the mobilization of operations against the Al-Shabaab terrorists. This follows meetings he held in the capital, Mogadishu, with the newly appointed Chairperson of the African Union.

During his visit to Raaga Ceelle in the Middle Shabelle region, the President addressed hundreds of local militia fighters, known as the Macawisleey, encouraging them to remain steadfast in their commitment to combat the threats posed by terrorism to their communities.

Following his remarks, President Hassan Sheikh continued to the town of Cadale in the same region, where he will further lead efforts in organizing and executing operations against the insurgents.

This initiative underscores the Somali government’s ongoing commitment to enhancing security and stability in the region as it battles the persistent threat of terrorism.
