Mogadishu(SONNA)-President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sh. Mohamud on Sunday congratulated the public on the 71st anniversary of the National Flag Day, October 12 which is symbol, demonstrating independence, and unity.
“Today is a great day to all Somali people. It is the 71st anniversary when our hero, Mohamed Awale Liban innatiated the Somali flag that demonstrated sovereignty, freedom, unity and togetherness among Somali people who struggled to gaining the country’s independence”, he said in a statement.
The President called for the Somali people to be united for strengthening their statehood, defense of their country and protecting national interests, in order, to keep our ancestors’ inheritance and prepare good future for the next generation.
