Mogadishu (SONNA) – President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has today promoted Banadir Regional Police Commander, Colonel Farhan Mohamud Adan promoted to Brigadier General, Commander of the Communications Command, Colonel Abdikarin Hussein Maalim promoted to Brigadier General and Commander of the Police Academy General Kahiye, Colonel Muqtar Gabow Hassan, promoted to Brigadier General on the occasion of 78th anniversary of Somali Police Forces held at General Kahiye Police Academy in Mogadishu.
This promotion came after the Somali Police Commissioner, H.E Abdi Hassan Mohamed ‘Hijar’ asked President Farmajo for their promotion for their selflessness and dedication to their responsibilities, his request was granted.
“I thank the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo for accepting my request to promote the three Somali Police Commanders as a reward for their hard work. It was not an easy process, but it came with a lot of effort and accountability”.
“We all have done the job of the police force, but the three promoted worked harder and were promoted one rank each; They have become three Brigadier Generals,” Hijar said.
