Mogadishu, SONNA – Several political organizations today visited voter registration sites in Shangaani District to show their support for the ongoing electoral process in the country. The groups issued a press release commending the progress made and urging citizens to participate actively in the democratic exercise.
The statement was read to the media by Ali Mohamed Nuh (Timajilic), Chairman of the Somali People’s Political Organization. He praised the Electoral Commission for its dedication in ensuring that the principle of “one person, one vote” becomes a reality in Somalia.
“We commend the Electoral Commission for their hard work in making this process possible,” said Timajilic. “This is a historic moment for Somalia, and we urge all eligible citizens to embrace this opportunity by registering in large numbers.”
The chairman emphasized the importance of public participation in shaping the nation’s future, calling on Somalis to exercise their democratic right to choose their next leaders.
