Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre, officially commenced the accountability process for the Cabinet today, focusing on the achievements of ministries over the past year. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of life and promote development in the Somali community as part of the government’s DanQaran agenda.
The accountability process began with ministries aligned under the Economic Development pillar, showcasing their successes and future plans aimed at national development in line with the objectives of the National Transformation Plan and previous commitments made by the Prime Minister.
The ministries presented significant accomplishments, including:
– Increased domestic revenue and the implementation of a modern financial system
– Facilitation of trade and promotion of industrialization
– Planning for international investments
– Enhancement of agricultural production and irrigation systems
– Protection and management of marine resources
– Reconstruction and modernization of air, port, and road infrastructure
– Community job creation programs to support youth and vulnerable populations
The Prime Minister questioned the ministries about their national plans to ensure they meet the programs and commitments previously signed. He urged them to strengthen their efforts and strategies while holding each ministry accountable for its work, fostering transparency and progress for the Somali people.
During its three years in power, the DanQaran government has achieved significant milestones that have led to economic growth, enhanced security, national reconstruction, strengthened unity, and improved public services, all aimed at achieving tangible progress for the nation.
