SONNA – The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned two car bomb explosions on Wednesday in the city of Mahas in the Hiraan region, central Somalia, which resulted in deaths and injuries.OIC General Secretary Hissein Ibrahim Taha expressed in a statement his strong denunciation of this heinous operation, expressing his condolences to the families of the victims and to the Somali government, as well as wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
Earlier today, Al Shabab movement carried out a two-car bomb attack on Mahas district in the Hiraan province of central Somalia, where the attack targeted an area that includes many homes, restaurants and shops, killing 35 people and wounding 40 others.
