The Federal Government of Somalia expresses its deep appreciation for the unwavering counterterrorism partnership of the United States in eliminating threats that seek to destabilize our nation and the region.
This operation represents a critical step in our shared fight against terrorism, directly degrading ISIS’s leadership and operational capacity. By removing key figures from the battlefield, Somalia and the United States reaffirm their commitment to ensuring security and stability, preventing extremist networks from gaining ground, and protecting innocent lives.
The Federal Government of Somalia welcomes the firm and decisive counterterrorism efforts led by the United States and remains resolute in its commitment to working closely with international partners to eliminate terrorist threats.
