Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), in coordination with international partners, conducted a planned operation in the Ceel-dhiiqo Weyne area, located between Ceel-lahelay and Ceel-garas in Galgaduud region.
The operation resulted in the elimination of 12 members of the Al-Shabaab, including senior leaders, while 13 others were severely injured. Security forces also targeted a facility where more than 400 militants were being trained. Efforts are underway to pursue the remaining fighters who fled towards the Ceelbuur district.
