Baidoa, Somalia – As part of its inclusive public engagement strategy, the National Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (NIEBC) held a consultative meeting with traditional leaders in Baidoa, the capital of Southwest State.
The discussion focused on the voter registration process and the role of traditional leaders in mobilizing communities to participate in the electoral process. NEC officials emphasized the importance of transparent, inclusive, and citizen-centered elections.
The traditional elders welcomed the outreach and pledged their support to facilitate civic awareness in their respective constituencies.
