Damascus, (SONNA) — The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Syrian Arab Republic, H.E. Abib Muse Farah, presented his credentials on Saturday to H.E. President Ahmad al-Sharaa in an official ceremony held at the People’s Palace in Damascus. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Abib Farah conveyed the greetings and best wishes of H.E. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to President al-Sharaa, expressing Somalia’s commitment to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation with Syria across various fields.
President al-Sharaa, in turn, welcomed Ambassador Abib Farah, reaffirming the deep fraternal ties between the two brotherly countries. He extended his warm greetings to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, expressing Syria’s appreciation for its historical relations with Somalia and its ongoing desire to enhance frameworks for joint cooperation and coordination in the interest of the peoples of both nations.
