Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The National Security Advisor to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Ambassador Aweis Haji Yusuf met with the Deputy Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (SRCC), Ambassador Mouktar Osman Karie at the Villa Somalia.
The discussions focused on the security situation in Somalia, AUSSOM’s funding and staffing, and the upcoming project to support the Somali Police Force.
This was a follow up of the November 4th meeting between the SRCC and the NSA, where both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing the Somali-led peace and security process and strengthening cooperation in implementing AUSSOM’s mandate.
