Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The National Security Advisor to the President of Somalia, H.E. Aweis Haji Yusuf met with the SRCC and the Head of AUSSOM Ambassador El Hadji Ibrahima Diene “Boly” today at AUSSOM in Mogadishu.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on strengthening cooperation, enhancing ongoing joint military operations against Al-Shabaab, advancing stabilization efforts, securing predictable and sustainable funding for AUSSOM, and coordinating the planned deployment of Egyptian forces to AUSSOM.
Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing the Somali-led peace and security process and strengthening cooperation in implementing AUSSOM’s mandate.
