Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The National Human Rights Conference entered its second day today, with a special focus on the rights of women, children, and persons with disabilities. The conference, organized by the Ministry of Family Affairs and Human Rights, aims to address pressing human rights issues and propose solutions tailored to Somalia’s context.
Mohamed Omar Bashir, Director General of the Ministry, stated that today’s discussions will spotlight key debates vital to protecting human rights in the country.
“Today, at the conference, we are presenting discussions that are crucial to the protection of human rights in our country,” said Bashir.
The conference was officially opened yesterday by Somalia’s Second Deputy Prime Minister, Abdisaalam Abdulle Ali. It is expected to conclude tomorrow with key recommendations and outcomes aimed at advancing the human rights agenda in Somalia.
