Mogadishu (SONNA) – The second session of the 10th National Consultative Council meeting took place today in Mogadishu, chaired by President Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre, Deputy Prime Minister Saleh Jama, and regional leaders including Jubbaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islan, South West President Abdazis Hassan Mohamed (Lafta-garen), Galmudug President Ahmed Abdi Kariye (Qorqor), Hirshabelle President Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Guudlawe), and the Governor of Banadir Region, Mayor of Mogadishu Sheikh Yusuf Hussein Jimale.
Key discussions focused on state-building, counter-terrorism efforts, democratization, and other critical governmental priorities.
“Today, reports were presented on the overall security and development situation in the country,” stated Presidential Spokesman Abdirahman Hudeyfi. He expressed optimism that the meeting would yield significant outcomes for the nation and its citizens.
