Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdusalam Abdi Ali, today chaired the inaugural meeting of the National Committee for Supporting the Fight Against Al-Shabaab and ISIS.
The session focused on strengthening support for the Somali National Army and community defence forces currently engaged in operations across various regions of the country. Discussions also centered on strategies to raise public awareness about the threats posed by extremist groups.
Deputy Prime Minister Abdusalam emphasized the importance of national unity in the campaign to eliminate terrorist groups, calling for unwavering support to the brave members of the armed forces. He urged all Somali citizens to actively contribute to the defence of the nation and the eradication of these threats.
“This is a war that requires unity and collective commitment. Every Somali has a role to play in protecting the country and supporting our heroes on the frontlines,” he stated.
