Mogadishu(SONNA)-Mogadishu Mayor and Governor of the Benadir Regional Administration, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein “Mungaab,” on Monday led a community awareness forum in Bondhere District to prepare residents for the upcoming one-person, one-vote local council elections scheduled for December 25.
The event, attended by members of the Federal Parliament, district commissioners, and senior regional officials, focused on voter education, distribution of voter cards, and strengthening security in the capital.
Parliamentarians praised Dr. Mungaab’s leadership and the progress made under his administration.
Dr. Mungaab emphasized the importance of obtaining voter cards, calling it a historic opportunity for citizens to participate in a democratic process. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to continued public engagement and building a peaceful, unified, and developing Mogadishu.
