Mogadishu, SONNA – The Governor of Banadir Regional Administration and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), today officially inaugurated 12 newly constructed interlock roads in the Xawo Taako Sector of Hawlwadaag District.
The project was jointly implemented by the Banadir Regional Administration in collaboration with the local community, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and service delivery in the capital.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Muungaab emphasized that Mogadishu’s growing stability and security have laid the foundation for visible development. “Public tax will be returned and used to build important roads and other basic services for the community,” he said.
He further announced that plans are underway for the construction of the Industrial Road, with Daalo and Fagax roads also prioritized for concrete action in the coming days.
The Governor also urged residents to actively contribute to keeping the city clean and preserving its beauty, highlighting civic responsibility as a key element of Mogadishu’s transformation.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Deputy Commissioner for Public Works, Abdimajiid Dahir Adan, alongside directors from the regional administration and district leaders.
