Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Somali capital is preparing for a historic sporting event as world-renowned African football legends Samuel Eto’o, Emmanuel Adebayor, and Jay-Jay Okocha arrive in the city, along with senior officials from FIFA and CAF.

The high-profile visit marks a significant moment for Somalia’s sports diplomacy and is expected to inspire a new generation of athletes and fans. The delegation will be welcomed at the iconic Mogadishu Stadium, which will host a major exhibition match in their honor.

Deputy Chairmen of the Somali Football Federation, Mr. Ahmed Farah Taqal and Mr. Abdirashid Abdulle Mohamed, visited the stadium today to inspect final preparations and ensure all logistics are in place for the celebration.

The event has generated widespread excitement across Mogadishu, symbolizing Somalia’s growing engagement with the international sporting community and its ongoing efforts to promote peace, unity, and development through football.
