Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hon. Abduulkadir Mohamed Nur, and the Deputy Minister, Ms. Fartun Abdulkadir Farah, conducted an inspection of the Port of Mogadishu today to assess ongoing operations.
This inspection is part of the Ministry’s efforts to accelerate key development activities for trade infrastructure and to evaluate the quality of goods arriving at the nation’s ports.
During the inspection, the Minister received a briefing from the Manager of Mogadishu Port, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed (Washington), who provided details on the port’s operational procedures, progress achieved, and remaining challenges.
Minister Abduulkadir Mohamed Nur commended the consistent efforts demonstrated by the port’s management and staff, noting the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing its services, modernizing equipment, and developing infrastructure.
