Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia has launched a national gathering of Somali traditional elders in Mogadishu. The meeting focused on public awareness campaigns and mobilization efforts to support the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab militants.
During the gathering, participants strongly rejected the presence of terrorist groups within Somalia and called on all Somali clans and citizens to actively contribute to the eradication of Al-Shabaab.
The event was attended by the Minister of Interior, H.E. Ali Yusuf Hoosh, State Minister Saadad Aliyo, Deputy Minister Abdihakim Ashkir, and other senior officials.
