Mogadisho, SONNA — The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Moallim Mohamud, held a crucial meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Francesca Di Mauro, to discuss ongoing collaboration in the justice sector.
The discussions centered on the development and reconstruction of the country’s prisons, as well as strategies to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the European Union in improving prison management and safeguarding the rights of inmates.
Minister Hassan Moallim Mohamud expressed his appreciation to the European Union for its consistent support to Somalia’s justice system, particularly in programs aimed at enhancing the delivery and quality of justice services across the country.
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to advancing reforms that promote human rights, transparency, and rehabilitation within Somalia’s correctional institutions.
