Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), today received a high-level delegation from the United Nations at his office in Mogadishu. The delegation was led by Ms. Nasrin Khan, Head of the Rule of Law and Security Institutions Group, and Ms. Leila Bouchebouba, Head of the Security Sector Reform Section.
The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration between the Ministry of Internal Security and international partners working to advance the rule of law and reform Somalia’s security institutions, with the goal of achieving sustainable peace and nationwide stability.
Minister Fartaag expressed his appreciation for the delegation’s continued support in the areas of security sector reform and judicial development. He emphasized the importance of maintaining strong, long-term cooperation between the Ministry and its international counterparts.
