Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, received on Monday at his office in the ministry in the capital, Mogadishu, the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Somalia, Mr. Antoine Grand, who paid him a courtesy call to discuss areas of mutual cooperation.
During the meeting, Mr. Antoine Grand extended his congratulations to the Minister on his appointment and conveyed his best wishes for success in his new role. He also provided an overview of the ICRC’s presence in Somalia and the scope of its operations across the country.
The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration and expanding the ICRC’s programmes and activities, with an emphasis on ensuring that humanitarian support is equitably distributed to all regions of Somalia. Both sides agreed on the importance of increasing outreach and coordination to better serve the needs of communities throughout the country.
