Istanbul, (SONNA) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali held a bilateral meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart, H.E. Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, on the sidelines of the 51st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), currently underway in Istanbul.
The two foreign ministers held in-depth discussions on regional political and security developments, as well as key global issues and emerging trends across the Islamic world. Both sides reaffirmed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding areas of mutual interest.
The meeting also emphasized the historical and longstanding ties between Somalia and Kuwait, with both ministers expressing a shared commitment to deepening diplomatic engagement and advancing strategic collaboration across multiple sectors.
