Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi met with Francis O’Grady, Director of United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) in Somalia, to strengthen cooperation on landmine clearance in areas liberated from the al-Shabaab militants.
They reaffirmed their joint commitment to supporting SNAF, enhancing security, enabling safe returns for displaced communities, and ensuring sustainable knowledge transfer to build national capacity in mine action.
