Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mahamud Aadan Geesood, held a productive meeting today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Somalia, H.E. Alper Aktaş, to discuss strengthening bilateral trade and industrial ties between the two nations.
The meeting focused on accelerating economic cooperation, boosting investment, and supporting private sector development to create more opportunities for sustainable growth. Minister Geesood emphasized the Federal Government’s commitment to economic progress and praised Turkey’s ongoing support for Somalia’s reconstruction and development.
Ambassador Aktaş reaffirmed Turkey’s dedication to deepening the brotherly relationship between the two countries and enhancing their strategic partnership through expanded cooperation.
The meeting concluded with mutual understanding and a renewed pledge to advance joint projects, with additional follow-up engagements expected in the near future.
