Mogadishu, SONNA — The Military Court this morning carried out the execution of two individuals convicted of murder and linked to the Al-Shabaab Kharijites, following the completion of all legal procedures.
The individuals executed were Abdi Abdiqadir Mohamed, known as Hussein, and Farhan Mahmoud Abdinur, known as Hassan. Both had previously been sentenced to death by the First Instance Court of the Somali National Army after being found guilty of serious criminal offenses.
According to court records, the two convicts were responsible for the killing of four civilians in Mogadishu, crimes that caused significant harm to innocent members of the public and disrupted public security.
Judicial authorities stated that the enforcement of the sentences reflects the rule of law and the government’s commitment to ensuring justice for victims of terrorism-related crimes, in line with the country’s legal framework.
