Mogadishu (SONNA): The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), has delivered Eid assistance and humanitarian support to the Karaan Boys Orphan School, which currently cares for nearly 300 orphaned students.
During the visit, the Mayor also announced that starting in April, the school will receive regular financial support aimed at strengthening the care and education provided to the students.
Mayor Muungaab commended the school’s administration for their dedication to nurturing and caring for orphaned children. He emphasized that the Banadir Regional Administration and the Mogadishu Municipality bear responsibility for ensuring the delivery of basic services to vulnerable members of society.
He further noted that people with special needs will receive particular attention as part of implementing the directives of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
The Banadir Governor had previously launched support for the Bondhere Girls Orphan School, and the Karaan Boys Orphan School will now join the institutions receiving financial assistance from the Banadir Regional Administration and the Mogadishu Municipality.
