Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Governor of the Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), has delivered a consignment of medical supplies to the Community Defense Forces supporting the Somali National Army in operations across the Hiiraan region.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Mayor Muungaab reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting both the national armed forces and local defense units fighting against the Al-Shabaab insurgents. He emphasized the need for sustained assistance to ensure the success of military operations aimed at restoring stability and liberating territories under militant control.

“We stand firmly with our brave forces. This support will continue, and we are ready to contribute to any needs they may have in this noble fight,” said the Mayor.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Federal Parliament, the Secretary-General of the Banadir Regional Administration, and representatives from the Banadir Women’s Association, underlining the collective support of the capital’s leadership for national security efforts.
