Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The local forces (Macawiisley) carried out a planned operation last night in the Ciid-Ciidka forest area of Mahaday district, located in the Middle Shabelle region, targeting suspected members of the Al-Shabaab militant group.
According to Osman Beerey, the Macawiisley commander in the Mahaday sector who led the operation, the forces neutralized several militants during the raid and seized weapons and military supplies from the group.
Beerey reported that the bodies of four militants were later transported by the terrorists to the village of Cali Fooldheere in the Middle Shabelle region. He confirmed that local forces have taken full control of the areas cleared during the operation.
