Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hon. Da’ud Aweys Jama, chaired a technical meeting with the Implementation Committee of the 2026 National Transformation Plan (NTP). The session brought together officials from the Office of the Prime Minister’s Inclusive Governance Pillar and senior leaders from the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism.
The discussions focused on the Ministry’s 2026 priorities, particularly in the areas of information, culture, tourism and public awareness — all considered essential to the country’s upcoming local elections.
Minister Da’ud Aweys urged ministry officials to ensure the effective execution of all activities and commitments outlined in the National Transformation Plan, emphasising the importance of achieving the targets set for 2026 and advancing the broader objectives of the NTP.
In conclusion, the Minister thanked the committee members and representatives from the Office of the Prime Minister for their continued collaboration and commitment to implementing the Ministry’s strategic plans.
