Jowhar, SONNA – Hirshabelle State President Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Guudlawe) and Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, Alper Aktas, held a significant telephone conversation today, focusing on the ongoing efforts to combat the Khawarij in the region.
During the call, Ambassador Aktas commended President Ali Guudlawe for his commitment to fighting the Khawarij, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. He praised the President’s leadership and the sacrifices made by Hirshabelle forces in the struggle against terrorism.
The Turkish Ambassador also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent operations against the Khawarij. He extended his prayers for the swift recovery of those injured in the fight to eradicate extremism from the region.
Ambassador Aktas reiterated Turkey’s support for Somalia, emphasizing that terrorism will soon be defeated. He conveyed a message of solidarity from the Turkish government, stating, “The message from the Turkish government, one of the brothers in Somalia, is an encouragement to all those who sacrificed their lives in the face of the Hirshabelle war.”
In response, President Ali Guudlawe expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Aktas for the phone call and Turkey’s continued support for Somalia’s stability and security. He highlighted the importance of international cooperation in the fight against terrorism and reiterated Hirshabelle’s commitment to restoring peace and security in the region.
