Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Dr. Ali Haji Adam, today laid the foundation stone for a new emergency department at Forlanini (Lansareti) Hospital in Mogadishu. The development marks a significant step in expanding emergency healthcare services in the capital and surrounding areas.
The ceremony was attended by State Minister of Health Dr. Maryama Mohamed Hussein, State Minister of Finance Raaxo Janaqow, Director-General of the Ministry of Health Dr. Guled Abdijalil, and representatives from international organizations including UNOPS, WHO, and other health partners. The project comes at a time when Somalia is rebuilding its healthcare infrastructure, with the Ministry of Health spearheading programs to expand service delivery and improve access to quality care.
Dr. Ali Haji Adam emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to advance Somalia’s healthcare system, thanking international partners for their continued support in delivering impactful health projects for the Somali people.
