Mogadishu (SONNA) – The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), on Monday officially inaugurated the Darmooley Girls’ School in Heliwaa District.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mayor Muungaab said the launch of the Darmooley Girls’ School reflects the continued commitment of the Banadir Regional Administration and the Mogadishu Municipal Government to advancing education, with a particular focus on expanding educational opportunities for girls in the capital. He emphasized that education is the cornerstone of sustainable development, peace, and a brighter future.
Residents of Heliwaa District warmly welcomed the opening of the school, describing it as a major step forward that will positively impact the future of children, especially girls.
The Banadir Regional Administration reiterated its commitment to implementing development projects in key sectors, including education, healthcare, and social services, aimed at accelerating overall development in Mogadishu.
