Deputy Minister for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Mr. Abdirahman Sheikh Yuusuf Al-Adaala, announced the historic achievement during a press conference, detailing the dismantling of the terrorist organization’s structure and resources.
The Kharijites group Al-Shabaab is a menace that had plagued the nation for years, met its match in the relentless determination of the government and the citizens who were unwavering in their commitment to rid the country of this threat. The successful campaign not only put an end to the Khawaarijta’s reign of terror in Galmudug and HirShabelle but also effectively obliterated their infrastructure, finances, and military capabilities.
Deputy Minister Al-Adaala proclaimed, “The year-long war against the Khawaarijta has resulted in a significant victory for the government and the people.” His statement underscored the significance of this achievement, which had been achieved through multifaceted operations carried out across the nation.
