Mogadishu – In a monumental triumph, the year-long war against the Kharijites has culminated in a resounding victory for the government and the people of Somalia. Deputy Minister for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Mr. Abdirahman Sheikh Yuusuf Al-Adaala, announced the historic achievement during a press conference, detailing the dismantling of the terrorist organization’s structure and resources.

The Kharijites group Al-Shabaab is a menace that had plagued the nation for years, met its match in the relentless determination of the government and the citizens who were unwavering in their commitment to rid the country of this threat. The successful campaign not only put an end to the Khawaarijta’s reign of terror in Galmudug and HirShabelle but also effectively obliterated their infrastructure, finances, and military capabilities.

Deputy Minister Al-Adaala proclaimed, “The year-long war against the Khawaarijta has resulted in a significant victory for the government and the people.” His statement underscored the significance of this achievement, which had been achieved through multifaceted operations carried out across the nation.

The relentless pursuit of the Kharijites leadership, their financial networks, and military assets has left the terrorist organization in shambles. Many of their key figures have been neutralized, and their remnants are now on the run in the regions of Galmudug and HirShabelle state. The government, determined to prevent any possibility of regrouping, has vowed to continue the pursuit until the last remnants of the Kharijites are eradicated.

This year-long war against the Kharijites was fought tirelessly in multiple regions of the country. While this significant victory is a testament to the strength and unity of the government and its people, there are still areas in the nation where the struggle against the remnants of the Kharijites persists. Government forces remain resolute in their commitment to ensure lasting peace and security throughout Somalia.
