Mogadishu (SONNA)The Governer of the Central Bank of Somalia, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi addressed the national media about the unified payment system in the country’s banks.
The governor said its important to notifity the somali people thst Somalia’s banking system has been working successfully
He added that the central bank is protecting public assets at 13 private bank in the country.
Mr. Abdullahi stated that its a national obligation for the centrel bank to ensure the services provided by private banks operating fairly and complying with the required rules of the general banking authorities.
The governer talked about the introduction of new Somali shillings, acknowledging that the preparations are underway for the process.
He also expressed optimism for next year’s economic growth,wishing success for the introduction of new currencies in the near future
