Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Amb. Abdisalam Abdi Ali Dhaay, today received copies of the letters of credence from the newly appointed ambassadors of the Republic of Ghana and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
In separate ceremonies held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Mogadishu, the Minister welcomed Dr. Robert Afriyie, Ambassador of Ghana, and Mr. Al Hussein Sidi Abdellah Deh, Ambassador of Mauritania, as they formally begin their diplomatic assignments in Somalia.
Minister Abdisalam conveyed his best wishes to the ambassadors and reaffirmed Somalia’s readiness to strengthen bilateral relations with both nations. He emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering closer cooperation in areas of mutual benefit, including political dialogue, economic development, and cultural exchange.
The Ministry pledged its full support in facilitating the ambassadors’ duties and promoting effective collaboration between Somalia and the two friendly countries.
