Changsha, (SONNA) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Amb. Abdisalam Abdi Ali (Dhaay), held an inspirational meeting with Somali students studying in Changsha, Hunan Province.
The meeting provided a warm and engaging platform where students shared their academic experiences, challenges, and future aspirations. Minister Abdisalam commended their dedication and emphasized that Somali students abroad serve as ambassadors of the nation’s future, playing a vital role in the development of Somalia.
As part of his visit, the Minister toured the historic Yuelu Academy, one of China’s oldest educational institutions. He also visited the Institute of African Studies at Hunan University, where he praised ongoing efforts to deepen academic and cultural cooperation between Africa and China.
The visit reflects the Somali government’s commitment to supporting its diaspora students and strengthening the longstanding friendship between Somalia and China.
