Mogadishu, (SONNA) – Somalia’s newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, is set to officially assume office today, succeeding Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, who was recently named Minister of Defence.
Minister Abdisalam becomes the 33rd Foreign Minister in Somalia’s history since the country gained independence on July 1, 1960—a notable moment in the nation’s evolving diplomatic legacy.
