Riyadh, (SONNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, undertook an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he met on Sunday in Riyadh with his counterpart, the Foreign Minister of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.R.H. Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, and discussed issues concerning to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
During the meeting, Minister Abdisalam expressed his deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s supportive stance toward Somalia, praising the Kingdom’s steadfast backing and unwavering solidarity with the Somali people and the unity of the country.
For his part, the Saudi Foreign Minister reaffirmed the Kingdom’s full support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, underscoring Riyadh’s commitment to Somalia’s security and stability, and emphasizing its rejection of any actions that could threaten them.
The meeting also explored ways to enhance bilateral relations across various sectors, in addition to discussing regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
