MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Diplomacy and Training Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has successfully conducted a pilot exam for the first batch of students to take the Higher Diploma in Diplomacy. This marks a significant step in the Institute’s efforts to enhance diplomatic training and capacity building within Somalia.
A total of 40 students, comprising individuals from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies, participated in the exam. The pilot exam is a precursor to the official start of the Higher Diploma course, which is set to begin later this month.
The event was graced by notable attendees, including the Director of the Institute, Ambassador Abdulqadir Amin Sheikh, the Deputy Director, Prof. Abdiqani Hassan Abdulkadir, and the entire staff of the Institute. Their presence underscored the importance of the initiative and the commitment to fostering a highly skilled diplomatic corps in Somalia.
The results of the exam are eagerly awaited and are expected to be released soon. Following the announcement of results, the selected students will commence their coursework at the Institute, embarking on a comprehensive program designed to equip them with advanced diplomatic skills and knowledge.
