Mogadishu, (SONNA): A high-level delegation led by the Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, His Excellency General Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartaag, arrived today in Garbaharey town, Gedo region. The delegation includes ministers, parliamentarians, and senior military officers.
The primary objective of this visit is to accelerate security operations in the Gedo region, enhance collaboration between security agencies and the local community, and assess the overall security situation in Garbaharey.
During their visit, the delegation is scheduled to hold significant meetings with the regional administration, local intellectuals, and various societal sectors. These discussions aim to develop comprehensive security and development plans for the region and focus on strengthening efforts against Al-Shabaab.
The delegation received a warm reception from the residents and the district administration of Garbaharey, who expressed their support for the Federal Government of Somalia’s initiatives.
