Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has delivered emergency assistance—comprising food, clothing, and shelter supplies—to 564 families affected by recent flash floods in Deynile district, Banadir region. The heavy rains, which swept across parts of Mogadishu, left vulnerable communities in urgent need of humanitarian support.

The aid, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was distributed in coordination with the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), the national disaster response body, alongside the local NGO Tadamun and the Deynile district administration.

Mohamed Sheikh Abdi of Tadamun stated that the distribution will continue in the coming days, reaching a total of 21,090 families across nine districts in Banadir. Hassan Mahmoud, Deputy Director of the Deynile district’s relief department, welcomed the timely assistance, noting its critical impact on displaced and flood-affected residents.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Tadamun organization, emphasizing the quality and timeliness of the relief efforts.
