Mogadishu (SONNA): Somalia’s Drought Relief Committee, appointed by the FGS Prime Minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble, has started distributing financial aids for drought relief, handing over funds to the Federal Member State Governments today on Wednesday, SONNA reported.
The committee, chaired by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management H.E Khadija Mohamed Diriye, handed over financial aids allocated for the people affected by the recent drought in the country’s regions.
Speaking at the event, Minister Khadija said Government allocated funds for drought relief and it will be delivered to the regional administration, confirming that the humanitarian work will continue.
The handover ceremony at the Prime Minister’s Office was attended by Ministers ,FMS Humanitarian affairs Ministers and members of the Drought Relief Committee.
