Mogadishu, SONNA – In a gesture of solidarity and cooperation, Djibouti’s Chief of Police, Major General Abdirahman Ali Kahin, arrived in Mogadishu today to attend the 80th anniversary celebrations of the Somali Police Force. His arrival marks a significant moment in the ongoing partnership between the two countries’ security forces, showcasing their commitment to regional stability and joint efforts against common threats.
General Kahin, accompanied by a delegation of high-ranking officers, was warmly welcomed at the Aden Adde International Airport by Deputy Commissioner of Police General Osman Abdullahi Kaniif and other senior Somali police officials. The delegation was then escorted to the Police Command headquarters, where they received a formal welcome from Commissioner of Police General Sulub Ahmed Firin.
The 80th anniversary of the Somali Police Force holds immense significance, marking eight decades of dedicated service in safeguarding the nation’s security and upholding the rule of law. The celebrations, scheduled for tomorrow, December 20th, are expected to be a grand affair, with parades, speeches, and cultural performances showcasing the force’s history, achievements, and unwavering commitment to the Somali people.
