Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Director General of Somalia’s Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA), H.E. Mustafa Duhulow, held a meeting with the Commander of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Brigadier General Muxudiin Ahmed Osman, to strengthen collaboration on tackling immigration-related crimes.
The meeting, held at CID headquarters, focused on enhancing cooperation between the two agencies, improving intelligence sharing to combat illegal migration, and accelerating efforts to counter terrorism as Somalia continues its fight against Al-Shabaab militants.
Director General Duhulow praised the close partnership between ICA and CID, highlighting the importance of thorough investigations into immigration crimes and human trafficking. He emphasized the need to refine investigative techniques and ensure perpetrators are brought to justice, underscoring the role of these efforts in promoting national security and safeguarding Somali citizens.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing investigative processes and strengthening coordination, recognizing the crucial impact these measures will have on Somalia’s stability and security.
